If you're reading this, it means you're watching me come back to life—by design.
Not just physically. Wholly.

This isn’t a detox.
It’s not a shred.
It’s not a marketing ploy or a midlife vanity sprint.

This is a resurrection.

I’m 45.
A business owner. A husband. A father.
A former Ironman who hasn’t raced since 2012.

And for too long, I’ve been showing up for everyone—but not fully for myself.

What never left me?
The internal standard.
The quiet knowing that there’s still more in the tank.
And the voice of my brother, Dave.

He used to call me “the athlete of the family.”
Even when I wasn’t training.
Even when I didn’t feel like I deserved it.
He still saw it. He still said it.

That’s who he was.
Now he’s gone.
Suddenly. At 40.

And I’m still here.

So what do I do with that?

I rise.

Not for the mirror.
Not for applause.
But to realign with what matters:

  • Health is wealth. Not a quote—a lived truth.
  • I want to run with my daughters, not just fund their 529s.
  • I want to respond—not react.
  • Lead with clarity—not caffeine.
  • Show up fully—for my wife, my clients, and my calling.

But most of all…
I want to show up for myself.
Because if I don’t, none of the rest holds.

For the next 9 weeks, I’m logging everything:

  • What I eat
  • How I train
  • What I feel
  • Where I push
  • Where I almost break—but choose not to

You’ll see the data.
But more importantly, you’ll see the decision.
The one that happens in silence—when no one’s watching.
The one that builds a man back from the inside out.

This is the story of returning to form.
Not because I have to…
But because I still can.
